Kaboom Alley

Personal project, designed and built solo

Game Development Completed: October 2026

A free retro bomb game I designed and built solo. Players blast through brick alleys, dodge enemies, and find the hidden exit, in the browser on phone or PC, with single-player, local two-player versus, and online modes.

The Challenge

Create a complete arcade game that runs in a web browser without an install, plays well on both desktop keyboards and phone screens, and supports solo play, two players sharing one device, and players connecting online.

The Solution

I handled the whole project, including game design, programming, pixel art, and audio, in Unity with C#, exported to WebGL. Each timed stage is a grid of breakable brick alleys with enemies and a hidden exit, with Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulty settings. Local versus mode lets two players share one keyboard, online play uses Unity Netcode with Relay, and the game can be installed as a progressive web app.
