Microfinance Lending and Member Management System

A web-based lending and member management prototype for a Philippine microfinance company, covering members, loans, collections, savings, and financial reporting. I built it solo. The prototype phase was delivered; the client did not proceed to full production.
The Challenge
The client runs group-based microfinance lending through member centers and needed one system for member records, loan applications and approvals, weekly collections, savings and capital build-up, and the operational and financial reports the business depends on.
The Solution
I designed and built the prototype in Laravel. Staff register members by center, then move each loan through application, approval or rejection, and disbursement with deductions, fees, and a weekly payment schedule. Collection sheets support bulk payment entry, each member has a running ledger, savings and capital build-up are credited from disbursements, and missed payments raise dashboard alerts and notifications. The prototype also includes user management with account activation and password resets, printable loan documents, Excel exports, and 19 reports, from loan portfolio, arrears, portfolio at risk, and repayment rate to center performance, income statement, cash flow, and balance sheet.
